Working under the close supervision of registered nurses, patient care technicians at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center serve as technical assistants and practice partners with nurses. They work together to implement patient care plans and perform moderately complex patient care duties in a variety of settings.

Teamwork and communication among patient care technicians, nurses, physicians and supporting departments allow patient care technicians to contribute to a high level of patient care.
