Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s adult psychiatric unit is a 20-bed facility that treats patients with a variety of conditions including major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder, dementia and personality disorders. Our staff provides support to patients and their families who are coping with psychiatric illnesses and treatments. Our nurses have the opportunity to employ psychotherapy, group therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacotherapy and electroconvulsive therapy. Working with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, social workers and occupational therapists, Johns Hopkins Bayview’s team of psychiatric nurses is dedicated to ensuring successful outcomes. |
