Sub-acute care at Johns Hopkins Bayview takes place on the Chesapeake Unit at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Care Center. On the 33-bed chronic and skilled nursing unit, special care is provided to patients with complex medical conditions with long term IV therapy.

With a focus on wound care, the Chesapeake Unit features a specialized interdisciplinary wound team comprised of specialized physicians and nurses skilled in chronic wound therapy.
