The Nurse Associate Summer Student Program is an eight-week mentored program for nursing students. Students practice the skills they've learned throughout the year, while developing new talents in the process. A hands-on curriculum is complemented with classroom presentations and educational seminars. On the unit and in the classroom, nursing students at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center are continually learning to improve both their careers and the care they provide. Surrounded by world-renowned staff and guided by a personal RN mentor, students achieve the level of excellence that is the Hopkins standard. Setting The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is a state-of-the-art teaching institution. It also is a prime site for community outreach and groundbreaking research, including a regional burn center and landmark facilities for geriatrics, trauma and addiction treatment. Located in southeast Baltimore, the 130-acre campus is close to the Inner Harbor, historic Canton and Fells Point, the National Aquarium and a host of restaurants, museums and theaters.
