Burn/Wound Unit

The Burn-Wound Unit at Johns Hopkins Bayview is an extension of the Johns Hopkins Burn Center. Patient care technicians, clinical nurses and specialized care providers, as well as rehab therapists, dietitians and wound care specialists, address the complex needs of patients on the unit.

In burn and wound care, the common focus is on returning patients to their highest level of function—physically, psychologically and socially. Because of the unique and all-encompassing nature of a severe burn injury, the ability to work together as a team to provide the most positive outcome for every patient is of utmost importance.
