Nurses at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s urology clinic and the Johns Hopkins Center for Pelvic Health provide comprehensive consultative services and acute treatment. A wide variety of urological problems and pelvic disorders are treated, and nurses provide consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and ongoing care to meet the needs of a diverse patient population. A focus on multidisciplinary care insures patients receive individualized therapy of the highest quality. In an effort to ease the patient’s burden of pursuing integrated care for urological problems or pelvic disorders, specialists from several different disciplines collaborate very closely to ensure a seamless care process for all patients. Nurses have the unique opportunity to work with physicians to plan and coordinate care by assessing patient needs and designing individual approaches to treatment. |
