Nurses at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Children’s Medical Practice work in a general pediatrics office with board certified pediatricians and pediatric nurse practitioners to provide comprehensive medical care for children through age 21. Many referral sub-specialties are available to patients, including pediatric surgery, adolescent gynecology, ophthalmology, clinical nutrition and others. The Children’s Medical Practice is home to several programs to help families and children. The clinic’s Center for Breastfeeding provides education and support to patients, employees and the community for the promotion of breastfeeding. The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program provides qualifying families with vouchers to supplement their food supplies. |
