Our employees’ plans for the future are as varied as their present skills and backgrounds. Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers two flexible retirement plans to help our employees enjoy a prosperous retirement, whatever their plans may be. 403(b) Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan Johns Hopkins Bayview employees may elect to have a portion of their salary (up to $15,500 for 2007) deferred into a 403(b) account as part of their retirement plan. Johns Hopkins Bayview will match a portion of the amount you contribute. A 403(b) plan is a retirement plan for not-for-profit, university and civil government, and it features the same benefits and characteristics of a 401(k). Johns Hopkins Health System Corporate Retirement Plan Johns Hopkins Bayview pays 100 percent of The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporate Retirement Plan. Employees are vested in this defined benefits plan after completing five years of service. Both the 403(b) Plan and The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporate Retirement Plan are federally insured. |
