Medical Coverage Johns Hopkins Bayview employees come from a range of backgrounds and have many different needs when it comes to medical coverage. The Medical Center allows employees options in choosing a medical plan: - Johns Hopkins HealthCare Employer Health Program (EHP) is a point-of-service plan with in-network and out-of-network coverage: care through your primary care physician and self-referral to specialists within the EHP network, or care from an out-of-network provider. Employees realize lower out-of-pocket costs through in-network services.
- Choice of HMO plans.
All plans include three-tier prescription drug coverage, including birth control pills. Dental Coverage Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers comprehensive dental care to our employees through United Concordia or Johns Hopkins HealthCare Employer Health Program. Employees enjoy much lower costs for services through these plans than they could obtain on their own or through traditional insurance. Care can be obtained in-network or out-of-network, with different levels of cost sharing for each option. Orthodontics are partially covered through network providers. Vision Coverage Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center offers employees a vision care plan through a network of providers in the Baltimore area and surrounding counties. Optometry services are available in the network at little or no cost. Employees may receive vision care from providers outside the network, but will be responsible for more of the cost. |
