At Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, we know that each employee is an individual with unique needs. To better meet those needs, we have created a flexible benefits program that allows employees to design their own benefits package. All regular, full-time and part-time employees who are scheduled to work at least 20 hours a week are eligible.
Coverage begins the first day of the month following your hire date, giving you very little time to wait for your coverage to begin. Johns Hopkins Bayview pays most of the cost of your medical insurance, and we also provide eligible employees with life insurance and short-term disability benefits at no cost to you.
The benefits you select remain in effect until January 1 of the following year, when you can choose new benefits or new levels of coverage for the coming year. Changes in coverage are also generally permitted at any time if your family status changes.
